I just wanted to let everyone know that Peter Schiff, the economist who warned in detail about the housing bubble and economic adviser to Ron Paul's campaign is running for Congress in CT. Peter is running for the republican nomination but is more of a Ron Paul republican and really is against the bailouts and other monetary policies which led to the current financial problems. He is up against Linda McMahon of WWE(WWF) fame. The nomination for the republican ticket is coming-up in Aug. and Peter is raising money to run a campaign add. He has a lot of support but is lacking name recognition. If you want to help him win, tell anyone you know in CT who he is and that he is running. Also, donate to his moneybomb - I guess it was today but there is still time.

Here is the add he wants to run:

Peter Schiff FTW! This man has to win. If he lost to the part owner of WWE, then people do not deserve to vote!

Wow, that sounds like surreal battle: WWE lady against world-renowned economist. You know which is more respected in this country. I'm honestly surprised that more RP-style candidates aren't running this year. Seems everyone just wants to run on the anti-incumbent platform, which doesn't really work if you replace one crazy sack of crap with another. Hopefully Schiff will inject some real talking points into the debate.

Linda actually won the delegate race a few months back beating-out Rob Simmons. Peter's video was supposed to play first there but they said they had a malfunction and told him they would run it last - they never did. Linda was able to somehow take Peter's pledged delegates - she had payed people running around feeding disinfo but Peter rounded-up enough signatures to get on the ballot. So, if you want him to win, donate and spread the word fast. Otherwise, we will have a wrestling promoter in Congress. It really does show the stupidity of the population when a wrestling promoter gets more votes than a proven economist/investor for office. Of course she is worth billions...

He has but there was only one debate and Peter won it months and months ago - so, they never had another one. Peter challenged Rob Simmons to a debate and they had that a few days ago, but Linda refuses to debate and she doesn't have to since she has most of the delegates right now.

I hope he wins. Our congress needs more people with financial and economic backgrounds, he would be a good candidate as he is a good public speaker.
