A Guide To The N-Game Conspiracies!

With the lack of news and the knowledge that we won't be getting anything until E3 I figured I would gather some of the popular theories that I and others have created:

http://theboard.zogd...1&showentry=419 (Augmented Reality Visor)

http://www.gamespot....pic_id=24328400 (Revolution Projector + 3D Movies)

http://theboard.zogd...showtopic=10489 (Extension Of Projector Revoltion By Me)

http://theboard.zogd...?showtopic=9908 (Mysteries Of Pablo Belmonte And The ON)

http://theboard.zogd...1&showentry=193 (Nintendo ON - Why It's Fake And Why It's Not)

Those are the best two theories I have seen yet. Still they leave a lot of empty holes and neither of them perfectly fit what we have seen so far. Here is a recap of what Nintendo has hinted at to suggest that we are in for a major treat:

The Quotes:

QUOTE
"I think maybe if I could do anything, I would make it so you don't have to sit in front of a TV and play. If you could have a machine that you just plugged in and played inside a virtual world that - would be just great." -Miyamoto

QUOTE
"It's convenient to make games that are played on TVs," Miyamoto is quoted as saying. "But I always wanted to have a custom-sized screen that wasn't the typical four-cornered cathode-ray-tube TV. I've always thought that games would eventually break free of the confines of a TV screen to fill an entire room. But I would rather not say anything more about that." -Miyamoto

QUOTE
"Sitting in front of your monitor with a controller, there's really nowhere to go from that paradigm, all you can do is make it prettier and faster" -Miyamoto

QUOTE
"We invented the current way a console is played - in front of a television and holding a controller - but maybe that image will change." -Iwata

QUOTE
"Remember, you're special to us and when we're ready to reveal what's so unique and innovative about Revolution, you'll be amongst the first on the planet to get your hands on it so you can tell your readers what emotion you experienced playing it. Until that important and energizing day, please continue to get plenty of exercise and sleep, and eat a balanced diet!" -Perrin Kaplan

QUOTE
"The concept of a home system today is defined as hardware that you tether to a box, and you are tethered to it via a controller; we think that's an old paradigm." -Reggie Fils-Aime

QUOTE
"What we are telling people right now is that four players can play on the Revolution, but what this means exactly we will unveil at a later time. We’ll have more information soon to come on this topic." -Perrin Kaplan

QUOTE
"The advances in our technology will also relate to areas that have no direct baring on gameplay." -Satoru Iwata

QUOTE
"every home game machine in history has married a controller, to a console and that console to a tv. In the next generation, the addition of the internet will be important to all consoles, and particularly important to nintendo. Wifi capability will be built into every Nintendo revolution how these 4 elements, controller, console, tv and internet interact with eachother forms the central difference in revolution design. Our goal in customizing these connections is to develope a device which is functional and appealing to every member of a household." -Satoru Iwata

QUOTE
"The controllers will also be very unique in ways we will share with you later." -Reggie Fils-Aime

QUOTE
"We also have a big plan for Metroid in our revolution, a franchise that has evolved constantly with each appearances. With revolution Samus will take you places that you've never gone before. The key here is not what you are playing but how you will be playing it." -Satoru Iwata

QUOTE
"Samus will take you places you've never gone before....The key here is not what you are playing how you'll be playing" -Satoru Iwata

QUOTE
The stance Square Enix takes on the new networking plan in relation to Revolution is the most intriguing. "What increased our interest further," states Wada regarding the networking plan, "is that the next step is already being prepared for Revolution." Nintendo's networking plan is, according to Wada, "not just a portable, not just a console -- it's exactly what we wanted in that it's the birth of a completely new platform." -WADA

QUOTE
"The controllers will also be very unique in ways we will share with you later." -Satoru Iwata

QUOTE
"No, we have not entirely pulled back the curtain on Revolution just yet. There are lots of exciting details about its capabilities and the unique gameplay you'll experience on it that we're keeping under wraps -- for now. We know you're very anxious to learn the full potential of the system, and soon we'll be able to share more with you!" -George Harrison

There are more crazy quotes but those are what I can think of right now. A lot of them suggest that Nintendo wants to get rid of the use of a TV. The last quote is the strangest. That came from IGN's Nintendo Minute 22. Most people figured that Nintendo Minute 22 was a useless post and didn't offer any new news. However I tend to look into it a bit more. Why would Perrin Kaplan tell a journalist to eat right and get plenty of exercise? Doesn't make sense. This would suggest that whatever the 3rd secret is it would have something to do with getting exercise. This is my opinion but it doesn't make sense any other way. People don't just tell other people to exercise. I think it was a small hint. Also Iwata's Metroid quote about the Revolution taking gamers places that they have never been is weird. Does the controller when used in Metroid take people to places that they have never been to before? I would have to say no.

No Gameplay Footage:

Nintendo has not showed any gameplay footage and has made it clear that no one will see any until E3 where you can play it. Nintendo won't even let 3rd party games show anything off. I know they are not lacking content and they could have at least showed tech demos. Last year before E3 Sony developers had only two months to spend getting the E3 demos ready. Though some games where merely CG demos quite a few of them where proven real time. Some of them looking quite amazing. If Sony developers can do that in just two months with supposely hard to use hardware then I am betting Nintendo could have shown something a long time ago if they wanted to.

ATI:

On IGN's Matt's blog he stated that ATI has been working on the Revolution's videocard codenamed "Hollywood" for over 5 years. We only hear that the video card is only an extension of the current flipper graphics card. Why would it take ATI so long to develope a card not much better then the one currently in the GameCube? (confirmed by developers). Nintendo does have some patents on graphical techniques but nothing that would take up to 5 years to develope.

The Flap:

What I find is weird is that it has been reported that the E3 prototype of the Revolution the front hatch was sealed shut. Of course it was a prototype but according to everyone who held it everything else worked (aside from the disc drive). Theres no reason that a plastic flap wouldn't work. The flap on the right of the console with the GameCube ports was working. Also none of the patents have showed inside the flap either. Yet they have showed every single angle of the console. Nintendo won't show the flap either. If all that was in the flap was a slot for the SD card (USB ports on back) then why can't/won't they show inside their? Almost a given that something is in there in my opinion.

QUOTE
Another flap shows twin solid state storage drives, another flap, the important and ominous-looking one on the front, would not open."There's a clue there," we were told by senior Nintendo staff today as we pawed the hardware, which we could power on and off and fully examine. "That's the Revolution, right there." -Spong Article

PSU Stand:

It has been confirmed in the Official Nintendo Magazine UK that the Revolution's stand acts as the power supply for the Revolution. I don't get this that much myself. Check out this diagram:

It clearly shows the the back part of the stand has a part cutout so that when the Revolution is on the stand the power cable (which sticks out of where the part of the stand that is cut out) can fit correctly. This means that the stand or at least the one the patents show is designed to allow the powercable to fit correctly. My only guess is that either the magazine made a huge typo (which doesn't make sense) or that there will be a battery powered stand as well which will feed the Revolution battery power via a laptop size battery and allow for portability with decent battery life. A strange theory but I don't really know what to say about it and whats this:

The recent build of the prototype console has something which appears to be battery contacts sticking out where the stand goes onto. Or this could just be small rubber feet to make sure the stand doesn't scratch the side of the Revolution console. I have no clue. Possible theory:

You can read more on his theory here.

According to Spong Nintendo Of Europe said this to them:

QUOTE
“We have not announced or shown any details regarding the power supply for the console. The stand is just a stand, nothing more nothing less.”

Though it is likely that Nintendo could have lied to cover this up. Who knows.

Movies:

I don't know what happend to this one but over a year ago Nintendo announced that they plan on opening a movie studio up and that they would be developing movies. Reggie even commented that a Metroid movie was in the works. Nintendo said we would not hear about these movies until the earliest time being mid 2006 (E3 anyone?). This was said well before E3 2005. Theory is that Nintendo might connect movies with the Revolution some how. You can read about that stuff in the above posts though.

Hype:

Nintendo knows the hype is big. Reggie even cofidently told Matt from IGN that the Revolution would surpass the hype. Lets keep in mind that he has seen the ON video so he knows what kinds of hype us fans are generating. I also find it a bit strange that Nintendo is so cofident in themselves. Reggie truly looks like he just doesn't care about the competition rather then saying he doesn't care.

3D Controller:

Nintendo has developed a 3D controller made to manipulate the game within a 3D field of space. If there was a Visor this controller would obviously work very well with it. We do not know how the controller works and all we got was Matt's speculation about it using Bluetooth technology.

Portability:

Lets face it. The console was designed to be small and portable. With the stand acting as the PPU it is a safe bet that there will be a battery powered version of the stand. The console has WiFi out of the box. Not even the Xbox 360 has that. The Revolution does not even have a network adaptor suggest that the want it only to be wireless. This picture shows that the Revolution has not even a power cable and is still lit up:

IPB Image

The system is designed to only be a little bit faster then the Xbox. It has been designed with low power cosumption in mind. If Nintendo wanted it to be portable this would be the best route. Have it use little power and have the stand as the PPU. This would also suggest theory two about the system acting as a projector.

The Big Secret:

Nintendo has first started off by hinting that there was another secret to the Revolution. However recently they have hinted at the last secret to being the biggest. Even saying that they have now showed the entire hardware capability off because they do not want it to be stolen. They used Sony's recent Nintendogs clone as an example.

IPB Image

Even the graphics look almost identical. So if Nintendo can show off the controller which many considered a big feature and not show off the other feature then that alone suggests that the 3rd secret is much bigger. Nintendo has also told Falafelkid that the last secret is bigger then the controller. They also have said that the controller has another function as well. So both the controller and the Revolution's main hardware is suppose to have a secret. At least thats what I gather from all of this speculation. Reggie has said that a microphone and camera are "Fair Game" but what does that mean? Does that mean we can expect them? Perhaps in a Visor? Who knows! Miyamoto said this about Zelda: Twilight Princess:

QUOTE
"This will be, without a doubt, the last Zelda game as you know it in its present form," Miyamoto is quoted as saying.

What the heck is THAT suppose to mean? He highly suggests that the next generation Zelda after Twilight Princess will be totally diferent then the current 3D ones. My guess is either an MMORPG or some sort of 3D Zelda for a Visor or something. How about both? ohmy.gif

Price:

Nintendo has stated that they want the console to be afforable for everyone. They said that it will sell for under $300. The Revolution hardware with controller would probably only cost Nintendo $99 to manufacturer and Nintendo would probably want to make some profit as they said so lets say they want at least a $50 profit per system. That leaves the room for about $150 left. The projector technology is much cheaper and probably wouldn't even add $50 to the overall cost. Blue Light Optics offers a very small projector that can support high resolution and claims that it's really cheap. Citing that it will be uses in small devices such as cellphones, pocket pc's, etc. However the problem I have with this theory is where would the sound come out of? Where would it come out of it you took the portable Revolution over to your friends house who may not have speakers for use with it? Nintendo said that the Revolution can work with a TV, PC Monitor, and a Digital Projector. However this portability projector theory just doesn't seem to really work. You would need:

-Revolution Console
-2 Sensors
-Revolution Controller
-Nunchuku Controller
-Controller Shell (For Certain Games)
-Speakers
-Stand

Doesn't sound to portable to me. What about you?

The second theory is a Visor. It might be possible to make but it couldn't be sold with the system and have the system still be at an affordable price. Nintendo would have to sell it seperately. I think an Augmented Reality Visor with microphone could be done for about $200. However this theory doesn't really sound like a good idea for casual gamers. Most casual gamers and even hardcore gamers hate the idea of a Visor. It would be hard for Nintendo to be able to market this thing.

Patents:

There are lots of strange patents for Nintendo. One of them explains sound technology that would allow for you to hear the voice from wherever the player was standing. Another allows voice to text. There are many weird 3D patents as well but all of them are cryptic and don't give us any information. However there is this one patent:

http://appft1.uspto....=DN/20050140832

that describes a laser projection display. The patent is not filed by Nintendo. However a little research has shown that the assignee has worked with Nintendo before with patents. Could this patent really be for Nintendo? Could Nintendo have hired this guy to patent it for them? Other patents explain new ways to create good graphics on weaker hardware.

High Definition:

This is one that bothers a lot of games. Not me so much though. Nintendo is not going to support HD at all. They will support 480p but thats it. So why are they skipping out on HD? Even the PS2 had a few games that supported HD so why not the Revolution? The 480p port is the same one that HD uses so it wouldn't cost Nintendo anything more to add it in and give developers the option. Nintendo has said (don't remember where) something like "When you play the Revolution you won't care about the graphics." Not the exact quote but something down that line.

Kodak Theatre, Hollywood & Broadway:

Earlier this year Nintendo has announced that they will use the large Kodak theater to unveil the Revolution. A lot of people have assumed that Nintendo has used this theatre. No they have not. They have used another theatre near this one but it is not the same. You can easily see the diference if you have viewed any of the E3 Press Conference videos. This is the same theatre that the Emmys are handed out. This thing is huge and Microsoft and Sony of course has never used such a big theatre either. The question is why? Sure the Revolution is a sure to be hit at E3 but why a theatre that is such known for it's Hollywood connection? A lot of controversy was also created with the names of the Revolution's GPU and CPU named "Hollywood" and "Broadway". These signify two huge events. One relating to movies and the other relating to playing or acting. We know Nintendo is not putting that much of an emphasis on graphics and we know the Revolution's hardware is a lot weaker then the competition so why else would Nintendo give the main components of the Revolution such honorable names? For that matter why would Nintendo even call their system "Revolution"? Is the controller enough to call the system a Revolution? To some yes. To others no.

Nintendo ON:

First read this if you have not done so already. I wasn't even going to touch on this video again but it just won't die. Engadget just recently did an interview with Reggie Fils-Aime. In the video the ON was brought up:

QUOTE
If you'll indulge me, I wanted to ask you something that I also asked Miyamoto when I sat down with him a few months ago, and that's about that Nintendo ON video that was circulating around E3 last year . It's the one where all the game play is done wearing a sort of virtual reality helmet. Have you seen it?

I have not seen that one.

You haven’t seen, but are you aware of it?

I am aware that it was done, but I have not seen it.

It sparked a lot of speculation and enthusiasm from the Nintendo community. Why do you that something like this resonated so powerfully with your fan base?

Well, a number of things. First, Nintendo is blessed with the best, most dynamic, most vocal community of players and fans of any brand in this space. And quite frankly, I am always in awe of what our fans come up with and share. It really is compelling and it really highlights the love that they have for this brand. And it’s a situation that most companies would, they certainly envy our position. Second, in terms of an innovation like a virtual reality helmet, I think that the industry, our fans – and even our competitors -- expect that type of innovation from us. They expect that we will be the ones pushing the industry and pushing the envelope with brand new ideas. And I think that’s another reason why that video resonated out in the marketplace. That’s my reaction.

So it wasn't passed around the office there?

I didn’t get a chance to see it but who’s to say if either Perrin [Kaplan] or some of my other executives didn’t get a chance to see it.

The Article:

http://www.engadget....e-vice-preside/

However Reggie lied about not seeing the video. Watch this video interview from last years E3:

http://s46.yousendit...000RVPL745ZCG9S

Reggie makes it perfectly clear that he has seen the video. Even saying that Pablo should come work for Nintendo. Now I have done an interview with Pablo about a month or two ago and he told me that he has been trying to get a job at Nintendo and that it is his dream. What the heck is going on here? The next chapter in the N-Game Conspiracy? Nothing makes sense anymore. I mean why would Reggie lie about this? I can't see him simply forgetting. If he is aware of the simple mockup pictures of him resembling the Terminator and such then I would assume he would pay attention and remember this clearly epic video that is still talked about every day. I think he just flat out lied about not seeing the video. Why? This is how I see it. Reggie said he saw the video at E3 and even said Pablo should come work for Nintendo. Fast foward until now. Reggie has said that he has not seen the video. Yet he is aware of it's existance... if he is aware of it being out there then he should obviously remember seeing it. How can you say you saw something and then later say that you have not but that you have heard of it? Also what was with the random Revolution white colored Visor that was in Animal Crossing DS? A hint to the Revolution or a cruel joke?

Controller Trailer:

This is from a forum member of ours named Flight401:

QUOTE
Hi all and thanks Kevin for your great blog!

I was watching the official teaser video and found some interesting things in it.

In the first of my pics take notice on where in the room the ppl look with their eyes?
Quite strange way to look on a TV screen? don't you think?

In my second pic i find it a little strange that the guy have the console on the middle
of the table? and in front of the TV? Another thing that also seems strange is that the TV don't
seems to be turned on at all? in the video he just turn of the revolution, not the tv?

And where is the sensors that keep track of the controller's position?

Maybe it's nothing, but i just wanted to share my thoughts about it.

3DH And Nintendo:

3DH, a company that is developing a brand new type of inexpensive and easy to use 3D imaging. This technology works like this. The images are displayed through your TV and you view them wearing a simple pair of 3D polorized glasses. The glasses can be boughten online for less then $10. Some sites are offering free cardboard versions where you just pay for the envelope and shipping. However eventually TV's and other hardware sets will already be polarized and you will not have to wear polarized glasses to get the 3D effect. It is up to the TV's manufacturer for supporting this. So what does this technology look like when you are wearing 3D glasses? Here is a few images of the 3D effect:

Some videos can be found here.

So what about the cost and why the connection with Nintendo?

Thats an interesting question. This technology if applied to video games could be done very cheaply since it's mainly just a graphics trick and nothing special. If Nintendo wanted to use this they could add this function into the Revolution with a pair of polarized sun glasses for a price well under $200 if they wanted. Why did I bring this up? Well an IGN forum member named Nthtendo has in my opinion startling evidence that Nintendo just might have some connection with this company. The forum member intended some of the presentations done by 3DH and has even asked the company some questions regarding Nintendo's connection. Since this is mixed into a huge post I will just quote everything the guy said but before I do here is the evidence the guy gave to prove that he really attended the conference:

IPB Image
Here is his attendee card with his personal info whited out.

These are his 3D polarized glasses that he used.

Here are a few of the more interesting things that Nthtendo mentions about a situation where when he asked a 3DH represenative about if they had a connection with Nintendo he got the cold shouldar:

QUOTE
I attended an event where they did a 60 second showing of a film in 3D. They announced that in the near future, no 3D glasses would be needed because of new technology. We could watch their productions on laptops, tvs, theater screens, etc... just as we did, but with eyes only. I mentioned the perfect fit with Nintendo, with one of them I later met. I got the silent treatment. I mentioned may 9th and he walked away. Now what am I supposed to think. then the sight pulls everything together, creating a new world of infinite space, filling the room with a new experience. this is unlike any 3d we have seen before. It focuses on tricking the mind in ways yet untapped.

That is the quote of all quotes that I find most strange. Why would the man ignore him walk away? Rather rude in my opinion. However if they are working with Nintendo then they will want to keep their mouths shut. He then explains why he thought the situation was strange:

QUOTE
I would have expected him to say, "you know, that's a good idea, maybe down the road someday!" instead, woried look and (cricket cricket)

Nthtendo goes on in a quite large discussion on IGN. You can view the entire discussion here if you have an IGN Insiders account. You can find a complete overview of the technology and how it works and can be used here. To learn more on why Nintendo could be using this technology check out my lengthy N-Game article here. This article attempts to cover the bulk of oddities that surround Nintendo's Revolution.

Nintendo Floor Vision:

Nintendo patented very interesting technology that litterally allows you to interact with software that is projected onto the ground. The above picture shows the Zelda Koi pond that was used for the E3 2005 Zelda booth. Though this technology is expensive and most likely has nothing to do with the Revolution, it is still an interesting piece of technology and would be amazing if it could some how be applied to a game console. You can view a video of this technology used with the Koi Pond here. Nintendo also has registered www.floorvision.com though there is nothing on there as of yet. This technology has been used for a Nintendo Art exhibition. You can find the details and images here. You can see how this technology is done in a small PDF file detailing how the technology works which you can find here.

The Blogs:

Real:

Zauron - I would be shocked to find out otherwise. He was correct about the Revolution SDK price which was recently unveiled on IGN.
Sunder: Land Of Divide (Game)(LifeSpark Studios) - I would be shocked to find out otherwise. This game is real but it's worth noting that it is in conceptual stage which means they most likely don't even have any of the actual game engine done. None the less the team hopes to have this game actually come out one of these days.
Orb - Of course this is real. He's proven it countless times. He wants to bring his still in early development game to the Revolution.

Fake:

SeriousGamer007 - When I sent an email to etrafficjams asking about SeriousGamer007 I got and email back from SeriousGamer007. Also Falafelkid did some research on him and found out who he was and his name which is Evan Pedone
Osoko Tanaka - Proven fake long time ago. Also he failed to answer my questions.

I am almost certain that there is no blog out there right now at the time of me writing this that actually has real information. You can find all of the blogs listed above on my site in the links menu. My site can be found here.

WiFi, MMORPG, And The Virtual Console:

So we all know that the Revolution will have WiFi support. We also know that there will be an optional Internet Browser feature for the Revolution. At E3 Iwata said that there wher already 7 online enabled Revolution games with one or two of them making it out for Launch. He then mentioned Smash Brothers 3 which made the crowd cheer in excitement. However there are still even some minor weird things with this. In a recently released Nintendo DS WiFi UK trailer you can see the word "Revolution" flash by in the background in large white font. You can view the trailer here. Also there was a couple Nintendo patents detailing an Xbox Live style headset for the Revolution as well as new voicing technology that allows you to hear the player from the location that he/she is standing at in the game world just like in real life. Also a voice to chat function which converts your voice chat to text chat.

Another large debate is the category of MMORPG's. Reggie said that he would like to see MMORPG's on the Revolution taking full advantage of the Revolution controller. The problem that most people have is the fact that the Revolution's internal 512MB is just not enough to host an MMORPG. Every console MMORPG that I know have has taken up several gigs of space and has required the use of a hard drive. This was seen with games like Ever Quest and Final Fantasy XI for the PlayStation 2 and on the Xbox 360 the simple port of Final Fantasy XI takes up about 11gigs. As of right now the largest SD card available is 2 gig but that is still not enough. What is Nintendo's solution for this problem? I think a lot of us would love to see a good MMORPG with either Mario or Zelda or possibly another good franchise turned into a MMORPG. However I am almost certain that this will not happend unless Nintendo releases an external hard drive for the Revolution. Strangely Nintendo wouldn't even comment on the possibility of a hard drive extension.

Another highly talked about are of the N-Game is the potential that the Virtual Console has. Sega has expressed interest in the Virtual Console numerous times and will likely offer a lot of classic Sega titles for purchase. Nintendo will of course be releasing a large list of NES, SNES, and N64 games for the Virtual Console though we don't know exactly which ones will be available. We can only hope that our favorite Nintendo games make the list. I most certainly want to see Rare's impressive library available on the Revolution's Virtual Console. Nintendo has also made it clear that some games will see improvements though they have not gone into detail of what that means. They hint at the possibilty that the games will have improved graphics and that some of the N64 games may include online support. Goldeneye online anyone? It is believed that all of the older games will be optimized to run at 60 frames per second. It is also rumored that you will be able to develope new small loki style games for the Virtual Console as well as perhaps new level packs for games like Super Mario Brothers. Other then these few things details about the Virtual Console are rare.

Touch Sensitivity:

After this quote from EA Canada:

QUOTE
“The beauty of the new Revolution controller is that the possibilities for new game ideas are limitless. I'm sure that Nintendo already has a number of phenomenal design concepts built around 3D Pointing or Touch Sensitivity for their 1st party games. Our developers are inspired and excited by the new controller's features.”
- EA spokesperson, Trudy Muller

people have been speculating that the Revolutionary 3rd secret will be some form of touchscreen technology built onto the controller. Even this mockup was tossed around:

IPB Image

I simply don't think that this tech will be used for a number of reasons:

1. Having the N64 buttons on the Revmote completely destroys the purpose of the controller shell.
2. The Revolution controller already acts like a big touchscreen. You can already fully interact with everything in the game as it mimicks your own arm/hand.
3. Nintendo said that no touchscreen would be used for the Revolution.
4. No room on the controller to display a touchscreen.
5. With a touchscreen, rumble pack, sensors, nunchuku attachement, etc the battery life would probably be less then 4 hours. Sure that might be enough for a handheld but with your home console no one wants to have to stop playing and recharge the controller several times a day.
6. Nintendo has told Falafelkid that the Revolutionary 3rd secret is bigger then the controller.

I personally think this theory is just plain stupid. If this was the last secret I would be completely shocked but I hardly doubt that it is. I think EA was just referring to the Revolution being touch sensitive meaning the way you move it affects the objects in the game. I almost have to say "DUH".

Conclusion:

There is so much strange stuff from Nintendo that I can't even cover it all. Both the Visor theory and the Projector theory don't seem to fully hold up. Yet they will never disapear. Theres just two much evidence to strike this on going conspiracy. However I strongly believe that the last secret has something to do with a new way to view the game. I personally hope it's not Stereoscopic 3D because not only can I not view it but I heard that it's not that impressive to begin with. I think it's more then that though. Nintendo is way to cofident and they show no fear of Microsoft or Sony. Reggie looks like he's ready to kick Sony/Microsoft's arse and take their names. So in the end yes I would say that the Visor and Projector theories are the best theories yet. Though there are a few things that don't make sense I suppose they could be worked into Nintendo's master plan some how. Do you have any weird Nintendo comments or anything that I did not mention in this article? If so please list them in the content section underneath this post and I will add them into this writeup. I want this to be the most complete Revolution oddities topic out there.

IPB Image

If you have any comments, info or anything that you found weird from Nintendo list them below and I will add them into my post. I want this to be the most complete N-Game guide out there. So help me find more strange comments and oddities about the Revolution to add into this post.

Oh and for the fans...

Want to add something to the whole speculation. As you already know Sega knew of Nintendo's motion sensing controller as far back as 5 years ago. That shows that Nintendo had always been working on that "other" thing, the one that will change gaming forever.Well the controller is surely one part of it.So what's the rest?It might be one of the abovementioned theories but that's not what I'm getting at.I just want to show that Nintendo has been working on it for nearly a decade or possibly even more (it's kinda obvious on some past products).Back in 1997 I read in UK's Nintendo Official Magazine,I think in the Spaceworld issue where Ocarina of Time was unveiled,a comment Shigeru Miyamoto made. That comment always stuck with me,cause it was kinda "revolutionary".I haven't looked it up now,but it was kinda along these lines:"We are experimenting right now with new ways to play games, where you won't need a TV screen to experience the games. We hope to offer something along these lines in the future.".Also if it's of any importance,in the "advertisement movie" "The Wizard",I read, some guy played on a NES a racing game using a Power Glove(motion sensing) and 3D Glasses (pseudo-stereoscopic 3D).As far as all the other rumored and included components of Revolution are concerned, most of them have their roots on the NES (and parially SNES),like online games/stuff downloading, voice recognition, wireless controllers e.t.c..

Hey Kevin,

In your conclusion you say this 'I personally hope it's not Stereoscopic 3D because not only can I not view it but I heard that it's not that impressive to begin with.'

I hope you do know that all visors use stereoscopic 3d, and it makes a huge difference as you will see the game in true 3d like we see things in true 3d in the real world with our eyes.

Oh and something i just thought of, could be a hint. But the nintendo ON helmet pics you have posted in your above article, when i blew them up and looked you can see a reflection of like a huge hall, now i decided to then look at every ON Pic and i see the same reflections. Now when nintendo annouced that they have hired out the kodak theatre in all the news articles on the net there was the same picture of the kodak theatre just like the one in your above article. Now when looking closely the picture of this kodak theatre is identical to the reflection that you can see in the ON Pics.

so what's up with that?

QUESTION:
How much would it cost for Nintendo to add two okay-quality speakers in the same standard package with the Rev?

I really have a feeling it's nothing we've all been speculating. It's gonna be like WTF? and whoa...o.o at the same time.

Watch, Nintendo's gonna pull something outta their sleeve and we don't have a clue what it is (=

Eh, $20 and that could be INSIDE the Rev. Ever taken apart a laptop? Those speakers are really small but boast quite a bit of nice sound.

Anyways, Kevin, you're not helping me stay normal and not like the guy in the picture by posting this kinda stuff. I can't wait for E3! ARRGG!! Must... not... tear... out hair!

Aelieth, if what you're saying is correct then the sound problem is solved as well!
This portable Revolution idea is really great!
The projector wouldn't have to be stereo3D either, a normal projector would do just fine!
